Dick
tailors each client’s session, drawing on a number of massage modalities
including Deep Tissue, Muscle Release Technique,
building on my foundation in Zero Balancing®
and Esalen® massage.
Most of his bodywork training has been at the world
famous Esalen Institute in Big Sur,
California, where Esalen® massage was developed. Dick is Nationally
Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork
Dick specializes in massage and bodywork therapies for chronic
pain, and was specifically trained in Muscle Release Technique®
as an adjunct to his pain treatment practice. As a complement to
his sports therapy work, Dick is also certified as a trainer by the National Academy of Sports
Medicine.
Bodywork is Dick's second career; he isa retired executive
from a Silicon Valley firm, and lives in Los Altos with his wife and son.
Annette Hulse
Annette focuses on the use of therapeutic techniques to
address chronic pain issues, such as from migraines, fibromyalgia, arthritis,
and injuries. Her work can be gentle or deep, as appropriate and needed by
the client.
Annette holds an advanced certification in Esalen®
Massage. Esalen® massage and
Zero Balancing®
form the
foundation of my work. She also specializes in deep tissue massage,
sports therapy, and osteopathic-based treatments. She has over 1000 hours of training in a variety of massage
modalities including deep tissue, acupressure, and advanced craniosacral
techniques. Annette is Nationally
Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, as well as Zero Balancing®, and
is a member of the Zero
Balancing Health Association.
Annette is currently a full time
student, so she only works on occasional weekend days.
