LEARNING

Watch the waves
Smell the salt in the air
Listen
To the birds, the break, the ebb and flow
Of the sea, and in me
Life
This amazingly wonderful thing called life
One chance
And we never know how long
One chance doesn’t mean live afraid
Afraid to make mistakes, admit we’re wrong,
Admit who we are and what we want
And that we’re human too
One chance to live each day
Breathe deeply
Revel in it all
One chance to love me
Listen
To what I need, where my heart’s desire leads
Feel, just feel
Don’t deny the sadness, pain
Oh, yes
And that other stuff too
How it feels to be touched
Feel hands on me
Feel lives touch mine, intertwine
In the magical mystery of this amazing space
At this time
Together without needing words
Learning to love and accept and be
